Southwestern Ontario may be hit with freezing drizzle Friday afternoon, Environment Canada is warning.
In a special weather statement issued at 5:21 a.m., forecasters say the freezing drizzle could last for several hours before changing to drizzle or rain showers as temperatures rise.
"Untreated surfaces may become icy and slippery making for hazardous travelling conditions," the special weather statement said.
The low pressure system spreading into southern Ontario may also bring two to five centimetres of snow and low visibilities.
